All trainings sessions are 15 minutes each. This program consists of 160 training sessions. Students are encouraged not utilize all of the training sessions in a short time period because of one or more of these reasons: (1) it takes time for some of the concepts to be fully conceptualized. (2) you have 1 year of support and your support is based on the number of sessions that are remaining. (3) we encourage that you participate in (OJT) On the Job Training where you will be able to schedule time with a technician to walk you through a live installation and configuration of WordPress while working on a real-life project.
Students are allowed to combine training sessions, however, you are only allowed to combine sessions while troubleshooting a difficult issue or in the event that you would like to review the details of an earlier session. It is best to keep each training session at 15 minutes because it eliminates boredom and it also allows the trainer to review quickly what was covered in the previous session.
Training sessions when combined should not exceed 2 at a time; meaning that since each training session is 15 minutes, it is best not to exceed 30 minutes (which is the equivalent of 2 training sessions). Learning is based on repetition, thus, it is best to allow for repetition in which the students can be allowed to see the tasks as it is performed repeatedly and explained at a later time.
It only takes about 30 to 45 to setup and configure a Linux WordPress server, however, due to the intricacy of the steps, learning this process along with all the details will take at least 20 or more hours. In this course we will build and destroy both the Linux and WordPress servers at least 10 or more times.
Linux servers may appear complex, however, knowing the right commands beforehand makes the installation of WordPress a straightforward process. But unfortunately, repeating the commands without fully understanding their roles and their effect not only leads to boredom, but also leads to errors and mistakes while troubleshooting impromptu problems as they show up.
